Buttermilk Syrup

Ok so I meant to get this out with the Creme Brulee French toast but it didn’t make it out that day. This syrup is to die for. So easy you never need to buy syrup again. I’m serious I don’t like pancakes but I will even eat them if they have this on them.

Buttermilk Syrup

Ingredients: (Makes 1 1/2 Cups)

  • 1C Butter
  • 1 C Sugar
  • 1/2 C Buttermilk
  • 1/4 tsp. Baking Soda
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla


Ok so this morning I didn’t have any buttermilk so I decided to make my own. All you do is use 1 Tbs. Vinegar to 1 C. Milk and let it sit for about 5 min.  Just a little tip for you.

So to start melt you butter in a med. pot, then add the sugar and buttermilk and stir until sugar is dissolved.

Next turn down the heat and add the vanilla and baking soda.  The baking soda will get all frothy and yummy.

That’s it pour it over everything it’s delicious!!!
